Stern (シュテル) is an Ancient Belkan knight and one of the three Materials alongside their king, Dearche and their friend, Levi. Their soul was released from the Tome of the Night Sky and placed into a body conjured from Takamachi Nanoha's data by Iris.[1]

Gender
As with the other two Materials, Stern's gender is presently unstated.[2] While Stern's body came from a woman, Takamachi Nanoha, it has not been made clear (as of Reflection) that Stern would identify the same way.
